Yay we've made to another Friday! Which means it's time for Instagram Friday!!!

The boys piled up in Justin's chair to watch video's on youtube. I told Justin next chair we get has to be waaaaayyyyy bigger so they all can fit on it together! Ha!

Evan was nice enough to take a break while he was "working" so I could snap a shot of him!!!

The boys turned Ethan's room into a fort!!! This one they told me had separate rooms for all of them! Boys!!!

This is another shot I took of my new necklace organization!!!

Jaxon and his rubber chicken that he loves!!! Yes it has been the subject of a lot of jokes around the house. Boys!!!

I'm not a coffee fan, but I do love my energy drinks! They have to be no carb, no sugar, & no calorie though, I am on a diet! Boo!

Evan had to show me his chocolate mustache! He was so proud of it!!!

I had to make these for Justin Tuesday. I always feel guilty when it rains and he has to work out in it, so I bake! Ethan said he was so excited that it was raining because he knew I would be making daddy something! Ha!

Trying Out Pinterst!

This week I got a little crafty and tried some Valentine crafts that I found on Pinterest.

This one was so easy! All you need is some supplies from the dollar store. This whole thing cost me $2! Woohoo! I think it came out really cute.

The next thing I tried was this really cute idea to keep up with my weight loss. I've lost 13lbs so far. Can I get a "high five"?!!!

I didn't put the wording on them yet because I haven't decided how I want to do it (I don't have one of those crafty vinyl cutting thinga ma jigs)!

I did find some really cute glass bead things a the dollar store though. They're flowers, leaves and butterflies. So this whole thing cost me $3 for the beads because I already had the vases!!! Yay!!!

So have y'all tried any ideas off of Pinterest?! Let me know I would love to check them out! Happy pinning y'all!!!

What I Wore Wednesday!

This is my first time joining in! Okay I wasn't too good at this. I only got one outfit this week! Ha! What can I say, I love my sweatpants & t-shirts!!! Plus I felt weird taking pics of myself and I really don't have one of those fancy shmancy cameras either. So here goes nothing...

Shirt-Catos free from mom, tank-Walmart $1, jeans-Levi's free from sister's friend, shoes-flats from Walmart $3, bracelets-from A Quarter to Ten (local shop) $1.50 = $5.50 for whole outfit!!! Can I get a "High Five"?!

BB Guns & Organization!!!

Well this weekend was pretty low key. We just hung out around the house. Ethan and Jaxon stayed in the backyard and did some target practice with their BB gun! I only got one pic because it was raining and I didn't feel like stay out there!!!

We also did some cleaning and organizing. I finally got Justin to go through his bedside table and his closet. Praise the Lord!!! It was a disaster. So while he was doing that I cleaned out my jewelery drawer. I figured if I was in the room doing something he would stay motivated. Ha! I used some craft/bead boxes I had to put my earrings in.

Then I took ALL my necklaces and hung them on a cork board in my closet. Now they're so easy to see and get to. Plus Justin was happy now that he won't have to be untangling them for me!

After watching some football and movies our weekend was over!!! Hope y'all had a great weekend and have a happy Tuesday!

Yesterday I received a note in the mail from Ethan's English teacher (5th grade). It wasn't a good note either. He's been struggling in school and he's not the only one. Jonathan has been having problems too (9th grade). Plus he sent me a text talking about not wanting to try-out for baseball. I was so stressed yesterday that a huge knot formed between my shoulders and I poured me a glass of wine (which is not on my diet)!

So what did I do...I sat down and typed "words of wisdom for children having problems in school". Enter. Then an article popped up. Prayer From a Parent's Heart. As soon as I read it, I knew God steered me to this. I plan on sitting down and writing prayers out for all my boys. I hope this helps me and them. Hope y'all go and read this article it's really good. Y'all have a great Saturday!

Thrifty Thursday: Purses

I just love Goodwill! I've started going there at the beginning of last year and haven't looked back!!! I've found some really good steals. These are just some of the purses I've come across...

This one I paid $14.99. I love it & carry it the most. It's label on the inside says Emilie M. It has really cute striped detail on the inside (I have no clue why I didn't take a pic of that, maybe because it's full of all my junk right now)!

The second is a lovely turquoise bag from Nine West! It was only $14.99. Love it! It's really big, which I like!!!

This one was a such a great find. It's a BCBGeneration over night bag/purse. It was brand new & only cost $19.99! Love it!!!!!

Next was a little vintage over night/make-up bag from American Tourister! I use it to hide some of my craft supplies. Evan calls it my "Girl Toolbox"!!! Ha!

I bought one for Jonathan, since he's about to start his first year of High School baseball (can't believe I just typed that!). He seems to like it. I don't know if it really helps or anything, but at least it looks cool (isn't that whats really important to teenagers anyway)!

Boys, Boys, & More Boys!!!

Okay this one is for all the mothers' of boys out there. I don't know about y'all, but my 4 punks drive me bonkers sometimes.

Let's start with the oldest Jonathan...this weekend he decided to hit Ethan in the head with a hammer and thought it was no big deal! UGH!!! Boys!!!

Then there's Ethan...his new favorite thing to do is butt into our "adult conversation" and put his two cents in!!! UGH!!! Boys!!!

Next up is Jaxon...he's almost 7 and is already addicted to xbox. This is causing his room to look like a war zone!!! UGH!!! Boys!!!

Finally there's Evan...he's going through this stage where his favorite word is "no", everything is his, & he's soooooooo bossy. Terrible twos?! Yeah right, more like terrible threes!!! UGH!!! Boys!!!

I know this all is a phase and it to shall pass, but Good Lawd, help me!!! Hope y'all are having a great Tuesday, and bless your heart too if you're a mom to boys!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up: Texans Loss

Yesterday was a sad, sad day. Our Houston Texans got beat by the Raven's in their second playoff game. Boooooooo

We headed to Justin's uncle Gerry's house again. This time a few more people joined us.

Yes they did shots again with every Texans score (there wasn't too much drinking this game though).

After the game the kiddos had a great time playing in the backyard & at the park with their cousins.

Even though our Texans didn't win we still had a great time with the family! Hope y'all had a great weekend & happy Monday!!!!

My Birthday!

Yesterday was not only Friday the 13th, it was my 32nd Birthday!!! Is it weird that I'm really enjoying my 30s?! Ha! We decided not to do any thing too big, we just went out to eat.

We went to this new spot over by the house called Beyond Burger. It's kind of like Fudruckers, but the burgers are waaaaayyyyy better! I got the bison burger and it was delicious!!!

My friends Amanda (who got me a cross & little sign, love it) & Adriel met us up there too. It was so nice. After we ate the boys played arcade games and we just sat around and talked. Poor Justin, he had to endure girl talk and miss the Rockets game all at the same time. Wow he really must love me! Ha!

After dinner we came home. The boys (big & small) played xbox and I played on Pinterest! It was a great birthday!!! Hope y'all have a great weekend!!!

The boys got the Operation game for Christmas and we've been having a blast playing it! It's change a lot from the one I used to play as a kid! This one has a gassy sound which of course the boys find hilarious!!!

Do your kids eat Takis?! They're a spicy corn chip thing. Mine love them & I personally think they're disgusting!!! Yuck!

These are our puppies, Miley & Riley! It was cold the other day & all they wanted to do was cuddle. With each other. On me. Everywhere!!!

I finally got The Huger Games trilogy!!! Justin & the boys surprised me and got it for me for my birthday! btw- Did I mention today is my Birthday!!!! The big 3-2!!!! I'm still loving Pinterest. It's so addictive. I still have my vision board on my wall next to my kitchen, but I love how I can have so many more in one place on Pinterst!!! Texans First Playoff Game

I'm back and hopefully for good this time! I've missed blogging so much. We now have a new computer & I can actually blog! Yay!!!

This past Saturday was the Houston Texans first playoff game eva!!! Us & the boys went to Justin's Uncle Gerry's house to watch the game.

On the way there we had to stop at Academy (which was a mad house) because Evan was very upset that he just had a regular football shirt on & not a Texan shirt like all of us. Funny how a 3 yr old knew the difference. So of course we had to buy him one!!! Then he fell asleep on the way there & when he woke up he was so embarrassed to change, he didn't even wear the darn shirt!

When we got there the boys had a blast. All their cousins were there and they had fun playing a the park behind the house.

It was a good thing the game was on a Saturday because they decided to take a shot every time the Texans scored.

Just in case you didn't catch the game the Texans had 4 TOUCHDOWNS!!! Ha! The Texans won & kicked those Bengals booties!!! We were sooooooo excited! We decided that we're doing it again next weekend!

I'm always looking for easy ways to fix my hair. I have no clue why I thought this would work with my hair. I mean what was I thinking. My hair is way too thick & too long (this is not a bad thing, I love my hair just the way it is)! This is what I looked like trying this...

Justin & the boys thought I looked hilarious! Jaxon said I looked like I had big white ears. Personally I thought it was more Princess Leia-ish.

Twins separated at birth! Right?! Oh well it didn't work. I cooked & ate dinner with the towel tied around my head. Then it started to fall, so I just took it off. Two and a half hours later...still a wet mess. Boo! Total Pinterest fail!!!

We had a great Labor Day weekend. It went by way to fast like most weekends do. Saturday I made Paula Deen's Fried Dill Pickles. They were sooooooo good. Find the recipe here.

Then I made the Pioneer Woman's Salsa. I've made this before and it is amazing!!! The only problem was I used jalapenos that I grew and it was a little spicy. Oops, but it still tasted good just with a little kick! Find the recipe here.

What I Lovin' Friday

This week I'm totally lovin' Ashland candles from Michael's. I went last Friday and scored some on clearance. I bought four Lilac Mist large candles for $1.99. Love them.
Then I also found these little can candles for $.20 each, so I bought 16!!! I figured I could use them in the car, bathrooms, & the boys room. Why are boys sooooooo stinky?!

To Vaccinate or Not To?

Watching the Today show and they're discussing pediatricians turning away children who haven't been vaccinated. I think this is a great idea. They should educate themselves on vaccines and be thoughtful of other children who can catch an illness from their child. They should find a Dr. who has the same beliefs as them & go there.

  Wrong Angela. It's the newborns and older babies who haven't received all their vaccines yet who can catch something if your son or another child is carrying it and it's proven that the most likely place to catch it is at a pedi office. I have researched all vaccines my boys have received and I'm also really sad that after asking my boys pedi almost 12 years ago if their vaccines contain mercury (which they don't) I was the first person to ask them. You're right people, should educate themselves.

  Candice I feel where you're coming from. We had a long first year with our youngest, Evan. He was a premie, 2 months early, and had 2 very sever cases of RSV and long periods of time in the PICU. So I know way to well what your talking about. I also refused follow up visit at the pedi's office because at the time they still saw unvaccinated children and I didn't want to take the chance of him catching something with his already weak immune system. I still respect y'all's decisions b/c that's the way y'all want to raise y'alls children and people should raise their children based on their beliefs!!!

Tasty Tuesday!

Well I've decided to call today Tasty Tuesday!!! About a week ago we bought some oxtails from a farm we visited. We never have had them, so I wanted to try them. First off they're expensive. We paid $7.99 per lb. Second if you're thinking they're the tail of an ox, well you're wrong. They're the tail of the cow!!! So since I've never had them nor have I ever cooked them Amanda found a recipe for me online. It just so happened to be my all time, favoritest, Paula Deen!!! The verdict...I liked them and so did the boys, Tony and Amanda. Justin wasn't quite sure though because they are a little fatty and he doesn't care too much for that. Here's the recipe (we also thought the recipe would be great used with pot roast instead of the oxtails too).

Paula Deen's Country Oxtails

Total Time: 2 hr 55 min
Prep 10 min
Cook 2 hr 45 min

Ingredients

3 pounds oxtails
House Seasoning, recipe follows
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 can beef broth
1 cup red wine
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
6 cloves of garlic, large ones cut in 1/2
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 bay leaves
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 Vidalia onion, cut into 6 wedges
6 small new red potatoes, cut in 1/2
4 medium carrots, cut into 2-inch lengths
1 pot hot buttered rice

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 to 350 degrees F.

Sprinkle the oxtails liberally with House Seasoning on both sides.

Coat the bottom of a heavy oven-proof dutch oven with the olive oil. Once heated, add the oxtails and sear on all sides. Remove and set aside. Scrape up the brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic gloves. Stir. Add basil, oregano, bay leaves, hot sauce, tomato sauce, and the reserved oxtails. Stir to combine all ingredients together.

Cover tightly, place in oven, and bake for 2 to 3 hours.

Remove from oven and bring to a simmer on stove top. Add the sweet onion wedges, red potatoes, garlic and carrots to the pot. Cover and simmer until potatoes are almost tender, roughly 15 minutes.

Serve oxtails with the vegetables over hot buttered rice.

House Seasoning:

1 cup salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder

Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

I served ours with buttered rice, bread and green bean bundles!

Weekend Wrap-Up

We had a very low key weekend. Friday night Justin and I went out to eat with Justin's brother Tony and his girlfriend Amanda at Ichibons!!! It's the only Asian restaurant I like. Then we headed to a club called "The Hop". We went there to support our friend 90 who was supposed to be in a hot body contest, but it ended up being cancelled do to not enough people signing up. Boo!!! We still had a blast though...

Saturday we just spent hanging around the house & mostly sleeping. Sunday we did pretty much the same thing, but throw in some football and a trip to Wally World. I would say we had a great weekend. Hope y'all did too and have a happy Monday!!!

What I'm Lovin' This Week

This week I'm lovin' that the boys went back to school!!! The older three started on Monday.

Evan not so happy we're up so early!

Jaxon started first grade.

Ethan started 5th grade.

Jonathan started 9th grade.

I can't believe I have a high school kid! Yikes!!! I think the thing he was most excited about were the girls! Lawd help me!!! We also found out Ethan was chosen to participate in a special science & technology program. There were only 30 5th graders chosen and they get to go to Ellington Airforce Base every Tuesday for 5 weeks. We are so proud of him!!! So what are y'all lovin' this week. Hope y'all are having a happy Friday!

Time With Evan

This morning me & Evan spent some time just lying in my bed listening to it rain. It was so nice. We had a talk about the important things going on in his little 2 and a half year old mind. We talked about all the people he loved. We talked about why his boobies weren't like mommy's. We talked about how he wanted daddy to buy him a big green truck, but daddy couldn't ride in it with him because he's to big. Then we shot nerf gun bullets at the ceiling. Then his attention moved to pretending he was a police officer riding on my exercise bike and I got up to finish making the bed. Our special moment was done and I loved every second of it!!! Wednesday Weigh-In

Today I'm starting something new...Wednesday Weigh-In!!! I was on a weight loss program and actually lost almost 30lbs a few months ago. Then I had to up my dosage on my other medication I take causing my weight to creep back up. Boo!

So I'm starting at my heaviest weight again. The program I did to loose the weight the first time was the HCG diet. It worked really well for me and I learned a lot about what is healthy for my body. I plan on doing this again. It was created years and years ago by a Dr. Simeon. You can read his book, Pounds and Inches here.

I'm not going to post my starting weight because it's kind of embarrassing. Let's just say it's a lot! Every week I hope to post my lost weight and things I'm doing to accomplish it! I hope by posting this here it will keep me more accountable and on track. If you want to join me on my journey just leave me a comment and we can be each others support!!! A Reception

Saturday night we headed to our friends Travis & Jessica's wedding reception. They actually got married a few weeks back.

It was so nice! They had it at Travis' parents house.

They served the best BBQ and the cake was delicious (which is always very important)!!

We spent a few hours there shaking our booties & then headed to a karaoke bar to meet up with some more friends.

We had a great night (from what I remember, ha. j/j). Hope y'all have a great Tuesday!!!

Spring Carnival

Last Friday I took the Ethan & Jaxon to Jaxon's school's Spring Carnival. They all sorts of games, activities & food!!!

Let me tell y'all what this lovely momma did last night...

After dinner I decided to make a batch of Triple Chocolate Chuck Brownies. Sounds good right?!

Well I mixed everything and called the boys into the kitchen to lick the beaters & bowl like I normally do, and that's when Ethan said, "Mom this taste funny." So I dipped my finger in the batter and...OMG...Gross!!! I recognized that taste...I had mistakenly added used grease instead of vegetable oil to the brownies. YUCK!!! I had to dump the entire dish down the drain. What made it worse is that I didn't have enough ingredients to make another batch. My crew was not happy with this momma!!! Luckily I had a stash of candy to make everyone love me again!

Let's Try This Again!

Okay so I thought I was going to start back up again, then blogger started acting crazy, and then our computer did! Grrrrrrrr!!! All seems to be back to normal now, so let's try this again...

This past weekend we took the boys to the beach. Really it was the dike in Texas City, but eh, same thing. It was windy and actually cold. We stayed for a few hours & let the boys play & wouldn't you know it I got burnt to a crisp...It still hurts. OUCH!!!

Then Sunday I finally got all the boys & Justin to go to church!!! Can I get a AMEN?!!! We went to Clear Creek Community Church. It was WONDERFUL! The boys loved it & are still talking about it. Yay!!! I'm one happy momma!

After church we headed to Justin's cousin's daughter's 3rd birthday. I was so burnt I sat in the shade & tried not to move, so no pics! Then we headed home and watched our shows and got ready for the week.

It's Been Too Long!

I've been on bad blogger!!! We've been soooooooooooo busy. All the holidays, weekends, and we put in new flooring through out the house! So over the next few days I'll catch y'all up on what we've been up too!

I'll start with Mother's day since it was this past weekend. Friday night we took Justin's mom out to eat.

Then we went out with his brothers, their better halves and some friends!!!

Saturday we went to the beach for our friend Jason's 30th birthday party (sorry no pics of that)!

Then Sunday we just relaxed around the house and later that evening we went out to eat...JUST ME & MY BOYS (all 5 ha!)!

Mardi Gras!!!

"Laissez les bons temps rouler!"

I don't know how many of y'all know that it's Mardi Gras time!!! We started celebrating this weekend. I just love this time of year!!! First we went to eat some crawfish because it just isn't Mardi Gras without crawfish!! Then we headed to Galveston...

We were supposed to go to the Seawall and watch the parade, but plans changed and we just headed to the Strand. We had any amazing time! We met up with Justin's brother and a bunch of our friends.

We ate a ton of food, drank some beers, caught some beads, and danced in the street!!!

We also watch a band call Neon Trees. They were really good!!!

We plan on taking the boys to the Fat Tuesday Parade (which we've been doing for the past 9 years)! They just love Mardi Gras and all those beads!!! Hope y'all are having a great Monday!!!

What I'm Lovin'

This week I am lovin' me some Garanimals. If you don't know what they are, they are Walmart's brand of children's clothing.

The best part is that they only cost $3.50 per shirt or shorts. I stocked up on them for this summer for Evan. So for under $50 I got 9 shirts and 4 pairs of shorts!!!

I can't see spending a ton of money on clothing for a toddler, especially a boy!!! All mother's of boys know how they love to tear up their clothes and how they grow like weeds!

Best Chicken & Dumplings!

I found this recipe awhile back and fell in love! First it's a crock pot recipes, so it's soooooo easy! Second it taste just like the chicken & dumplings my Nannie used to make. Yuuuuuuummmm!
So here you go...hope you try it and fall in love too!!!

Ingredients

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (or leftover chicken)
2 tablespoons butter
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 onion, finely diced
2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces
chicken broth

Directions

Place the chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker, and fill with enough chicken broth to cover.
Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High. About 60 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.

My pumpkin turned 6!!!

For his birthday dinner he decided on grilled cheese sandwiches.
This boy would eat grilled cheese everyday if I let him!

He also decided on chocolate chocolate chip cupcakes.
I love the way he thinks! Ha!

Celebration Weekend!

Today is Jaxon's birthday. He is 6!!! I'll post pic of today tomorrow...

This weekend was so much fun. Friday night we went to Chuck E. Cheese for Justin's cousin's children's birthday (wow sounds a little like Ferris Bueller)! The boys had a blast. They love that place, but what kid doesn't?!

Justin's brother & wife came also. They brought their adorable little baby, Wyatt. It was so funny...Justin kept picking on him and he would stick out his bottom lip and make a sad face!

Saturday was our 11th anniversary (together, not marriage). We went to eat at Chuy's (Mexican restaurant, duh!) and then headed home to get ready for our friends, Kevin & Laura's wedding.

We had so much fun. The wedding was beautiful. After the wedding a group of us went to a few bars/clubs and hung out in Galveston.

We had an amazing weekend!!! Hope y'all did to & happy Tuesday!!!

Homemade Mocha Frap!!!

Confession time...I have never set foot into a Starbucks. Weird! Right?! Well I have tried McDonalds Fraps and really didn't care for them, but I like the idea of it. I do love Sonic's Java Chillers, but HELLO CALORIES!!! So I searched the web for a recipe, found a few and then made it my own...

Homemade Mocha Frap

1 cup chilled strong brew coffee
(I used half coffee and half espresso, that I found at Krogers for $2.50 a can)
1 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 large squeeze of chocolate syrup (or whatever flavor you like)

add all these together in the blender and mix for about 1 minute. This dissolves the sugar and makes it fluffy!!!

Then add about two cups of ice (crushed works better) and blend or you could just pour it over ice cubes, if that's your thing!!!

I also add these little shots of caffinee that I found at Wal-mart (like the espresso isn't enough). They're called Stok and they're sold in the coffee aisle. They're like 24 for $2.50!!! This momma needs all the energy she can get!

This recipe makes two large servings!!! It's soooooo yummy!!!

Gettin' Crafty

Saturday we headed to Hobby Lobby to pick up a few things for me to finish up some craft projects that I've been wanting to do. The first were some decorative plates. I had found some really cool plate chargers on sale at Michael's for $.99, so I picked up two red ones and two gold ones (the only ones they actually had left)!!! And this is what I turned them into...

(I'll post the other two when I post my Valentine decorations. They are super cute!!!)

Then I decide to add a cross to a plate I already had in the hall cubbie.

The cross really does match even though it looks like a different color in the picture. Then I bought a cross to put in a shadow box I found at Goodwill. I added some light blue paper for the backing, but I'm not sure if it's a keeper yet. I was wanting to hang it in the master bedroom, but I'm just not sure!!!

I also busted out this headband since I was in a Valentine mood!

I also finished up my Valentine wreath (post to come) and it turned out adorable! Thanks for letting me share some of my craft projects. I've never been real crafty. I guess I've been inspired from all these lovely craft blogs that I've been reading lately! Hope y'all have a great Wednesday!!!

A Fun Shower!

This weekend we went to our friends Kevin & Laura's wedding shower. They getting married on February 19th which is actually me & Justin's 11th anniversary! So I'm super excited about it!

They had a beautiful cake and we played a version of the Newlywed Game. Kevin & Laura beat me & Justin. Ha! My excuse was the questions were too confusing!!!

After the shower we headed to Hobby Lobby with Tony & Amanda. I had to pick up some items for some projects I've been working on. We had fun goofing off in the store!!!

Then we headed to Olive Garden to eat and headed back home. Justin wasn't feeling well and was asleep before 9. So I decided to get my "craft" on (I'll share some of my projects later this week)!!! Hope y'all had a great weekend & happy Tuesday!!!

A Busy Week

Good Lawd it's been a busy week. I haven't been on here since Monday. I feel like such a bad blogger!!! Tuesday I went to use some of my gift cards I got for my birthday. I went to Kohls and got me some really cute black boots. Then I headed to Goodwill (I heart that place!) and I got 4 shirts, a denim jacket, a pair of skinny jeans and some Valentine decor. Did I mention I love that place!!! Ha!!!

Wednesday I met up with my friend Crystal and her 1 year old son Gavin at Gringos(I heart this place too)!!! I had such a great time. Anytime there is adult conversation plus Cactus Juice (Gringos signature drink) is a good time in my book!

Then yesterday I was supposed to go to the doctor, but instead I woke up to the worst mess in my kitchen. I brand new gallon bottle of vegetable oil decide to jump off the the shelf it was on and make a mess on my pantry floor. So needless to say I spent the whole day cleaning it up. NO FUN!!! When Jaxon and Ethan got home from school we headed to Jonathan's basketball game. They didn't win, but he played awesome, like always!

Today I ran some errands, bought a gift for a bridal shower we're going to tomorrow and did some Valentine crafts (I'll post about those in a couple of days). Oh I almost forgot to mention that our washer broke too this week! See I told you it was a crazy week!!! Hope y'all have a great Friday and a great weekend!!!

HATtie's Party!!!

This Saturday night we had my birthday party. It was sooooooooooo much fun. It was a "hat" party and everyone was supposed to wear a hat.

My favorite was Justin's brother Tony's. He got it in Galveston earlier that day!!!

So many of our close friends and new friends came to celebrate. It meant so much to me. I even got some really great gifts. There was some really interesting dancing going on and a ton of laughs!!!

I've had a pretty amazing birthday this year. I am loving 2011 so far. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year will bring. Hope y'all had an amazing weekend and happy Monday!!!

More Birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday and we went out to eat with my mom and step dad. We were going to go to Gringo's, but ended up going to La Brisa's (I like their mango margaritas better).

My mom had three gifts for the boys to give me. I got a jacket, necklace and some earrings. It was so sweet.

I also got a beautiful card and some money from my mom!!! My best gifts this year were... a yellow ring Jaxon gave me (which he found on the playground at school), Jonathan doing amazing at his basketball game, Evan not throwing a fit (ha!) and Ethan telling me (just out of the blue) that I was a good mother! He just melted my heart!!! God Love Him!!!

I had an wonderful 31st birthday. Now I can't wait to have my "hat" party tomorrow! Hope y'all have a great weekend!!!

He's Got It Now!

Yup, Justin got the cold/sinus infection that I had. Plus on top of that he has poison ivy all over him that he got from work!!! Poor guy! Luckily he's off until Monday and doesn't have to work in this cold weather. He better be well before Saturday. That's when we're having my 31st birthday party. Woohoo!!! Well I have a lot of cleaning to do and a pitiful hubby to take care of. So I'll leave y'all with some pretty funny pictures of Evan sleeping...

Well we're still sick! I just hate having colds. There's nothing you can do except sit around and wait for them to go away. So since we've been doing nothing, but hanging out at the house and wiping our noses I've decided to post some of our Christmas photos. Better late than never right!?! Ha!!

Friday night Justin & I headed over to our friend Danny's dads house for a New Years party.

We had a blast! It was so nice to ring in the New Year with some of our best friends.

Do y'all make New Years resolutions? I try to, but I'm not really good at sticking to them! This year I hope I can. My resolution this year is just to get organized. Organized in everything I do, in all areas of my life!!! Relationships, money, the house and everything else.

Lonestar Biker Rally 2010

We been passing a long a lovely stomach virus around the house. It was my turn to have it Monday, but luckily I'm finally starting to feel better. Saturday night Justin and I went to the Lonestar Biker Rally in Galveston. We went with Tony and Amanda and met up with other friends.

It was crazy crowed down there. We go every year and I've never seen it that packed. I love seeing all the bikes and it's the best place to people watch. There were a lot of weirdos!!! Ha! My favorite part was running into our friends!

We went to a couple of bars on the Strand too. We had a blast talking, dancing, and laughing.

(I found a disco ball while waiting for the restroom and I was wanting to "borrow" it! I didn't think anyone would notice! Ha!)

Kinley's Birthday Party

Saturday we went to our friends Kelli and Jason's little girl, Kinley's first birthday party. Jonathan was the only one who didn't go. I guess he's too cool to go to a one year old's birthday party! Ha!

The boys had a blast. They had a huge swing set with a slide that Evan loved.

I always love going to little girl's parties because I get to buy girlie clothes!! Evan loved all her gifts and made some friends too. He's going to be soooooooo ready for his birthday party in a couple of weeks!

After the party we picked Jonathan up and headed to Gringos to go eat. It was such a great family dinner.

Laila's Birthday Party

About a week ago we went to a Wildlife Park. Melissa (Justin's cousin) was having her little girl, Laila's 3rd birthday party there.

(Yep that's all six of us!!! I'm thinking Christmas card! Ha!)

The boys had a blast. They had all kinds of animals there. We went into the petting zoo area.

We rode the train that takes you around the whole park.

Then we ate cake which Melissa made herself. She did an amazing job & even made the cupcakes too! I might have to hire her for Evan's upcoming birthday!!!

Laura's Birthday

Saturday night we went to a bar called Doc's to meet up with some friends to celebrate our friend Laura's birthday. This is me with the birthday girl and most of the gang!

After we hung out for a bit there we all head across the way to another bar called Bucks to go shake our booties!!!

We had a great weekend! Friday night we were going to go to the last Hitchcock football game, but it was crazy windy outside and I didn't want to risk Evan getting an ear infection so we just stayed home. (Pumpkin carving pics are from Wed. night.)

Saturday we meet up with Justin's brother at their Uncle's doughnut shop and had a great family breakfast and visit. Then we did some antique shopping and I got some cute stuff. Then Saturday night we went out for our friend Laura's birthday. (I'll share more pics later this week.)

Sunday we just hung out until it was time to trick or treat!!! Ethan was a soccer play, Jaxon was a ninja and Evan was a dinosaur!!!

They had a blast and got tons of candy. That reminds me, tomorrow I have to schedule them a dentist appointment. Ha!

Grocery Shopping

Today I went to the grocery store and did AMAZING! I normally do my grocery shopping every other Tuesday with maybe one stop in between for milk and fresh produce. I mostly shop at Krogers because they double and triple coupons, but I do buy a few things that are cheaper from Wal-mart. Today I spent $66.27 for two weeks worth of groceries (includes some toiletries and 6 bags of Halloween candy)!!! There's a lot that I still need/want to do in there. Like get new curtains and flooring because the animals have torn them up. Two of my favorite things are the decorative plate Justin gave me two Christmases ago and both my nannies pieces of crystal! Also I put coffee beans in the candle holders and it makes the room smell lovely. Which reminds me I need to go buy some new coffee beans!!!

Cookies and Doctors

Last night me, Jaxon and Evan made some chocolate chip cookies. The boys were too funny. Evan really didn't want to help. He just wanted to stick his fingers in the cookies!

I want my boys to learn how to cook. I think it's important. Jonathan can already cook the basics. Ethan only likes to help when it's something he likes to eat. Jaxon loves to help with everything because he still at a young age. Ha! And Evan is just attached at my hip so he's always in the kitchen with me!

This morning I took Evan to his doctor's appointment. He's had a rash on his leg and it started to spread. I figured it was his eczema acting up again. Then his finger was infected because he slammed it in the door then he started putting it in his mouth which caused it to be infected. Ethan did this when he was little too. So basically I went to the doctor and paid a lot of money for her to tell me what I already knew!! Oh well! Hopefully it will go away soon.

Well I'm off to meet the boys at the bus stop and then we're going to the Hitchcock homecoming parade! Hope y'all have a happy Thursday!

Saturday night Justin and I went to go eat and then met some friends to watch the UFC fights. Well when Justin told our friend we would meet up with them later he asked who was watching the boys. Justin told him that Jonathan was babysitting for us and he replied, " Is that legal?"

What?! Was he being serious?

Jonathan is about to turn 14 in a little over a month. I trust him to watch his brothers. They mostly just sit in the living room and watch tv. Actually I think the little ones mind Jonathan more than they mind me! Ha! Plus it's not like we go way across town. We always sta'y pretty close to home and I always call and text almost every hour to check on them. I raise my boys right and they know how to act. I trust my children. Also I believe this is also teaching Jonathan to have some responsibility.

I was 11 when we used to stay home by ourselves after school until my parents got home and during the summer. I also remember babysitting around age 13. So what do y'all think? How old were y'all when you first stayed at home alone? At what age would you let your children stay home alone?

Miscellany Monday

Well today is Miscellany Monday over at lowercase letters by carrissa and I've decided to play along!!!

1. Right now outside this morning it is 65 degrees here in SE Texas! I feels so nice. I just love this weather. It makes me feel frisky! Ha!

2. Friday night we went to the ZZ Top and Tom Petty concert. Both bands were great and I always enjoy ZZ Top! The best part was this drunk guy who was sporting a mullet and a Bad Company muscle shirt. He was dancing all over the place and playing air guitar. My cheeks hurt from laughing so hard at him!!!

3. Last night I kept feeling like something was crawling on me and biting me. I really didn't pay too much attention because I was so sleepy. This morning after getting dressed I went back to straighten the bed and I saw tiny little ants crawling on my side of the bed. Yikes and where in the heck did they come from?!

4. It was not a good weekend for our football teams around these parts. LaPorte High School (the school I went to) lost against their long time rival, UT lost, and of course the Texans were beat by the Cowgirls. Oh well at least Evan had a blast watching football all weekend! He kept saying, " Are you ready for some football!" Ha!

5. The boys decided to have Nerf gun fights all weekend long and I'm still finding those dang bullets scattered all over the house. At least Justin was finally able to get the one down that they shot at the sky light in our kitchen which is like 20 something feet high! UGH!!! BOYS!!!

Well I'm off to go clean and open up the windows to let this nice weather in! Hope y'all had a great weekend, we sure did with all our family & friends. Hope y'all have a great Monday too!!!

Life Lately

We've just been doing the regular around here. You know school, laundry, more laundry, cleaning, cooking, playing, watching the new fall shows and football, and doing more cleaning and laundry. Ha!!! Nothing too exciting.

I've been trying to figure out how to upload pics on my mini notebook because Justin's computer has broken yet again. So I haven't been able to post any pics on here or facebook. BOO! I love pictures and it's driving my crazy!

I'm trying to get the house in order so I can start decorating for Halloween. Normally we make our front yard into a cemetery, which our lawn guys love! Tomorrow I'm heading to the store to get some fall smelling candles. This fall weather needs to hurry up and make it's way to SE Texas! I'm ready for ya!!!

Well I'm off to fold some more laundry and clean something! Hope y'all are having a great Thursday!!!

First Dates, Homecoming, & Baby Showers

Friday night Jonathan had his first movie date! He's only 13 and growing up so fast. His dad dropped him off at the theater to meet up with is little girlfriend and some other friends. Then Saturday night they had their homecoming for their little league football team. They looked so cute!!!

Saturday during the day me and Evan headed to Sarah's (Justin's brother's wife) baby shower. It was so much fun! Her family and friends were just the sweetest people! I had so much fun talking and laughing with everyone.

Sarah is such a beautiful mommy to be here with her sister Laura!!! ( I have no clue why my pics are soooo huge something is going on with blogger.) Sunday we just hung out around the house and watched football. btw- GO TEXANS!!! That game was amazing and I can't wait for next weekend when they beat those Cowgirls!!! We had a wonderful weekend. Hope y'all did too and have a happy Monday!!!

I'm baaaaaaack!!! I decided to take a blogging break. Life was happening around here and we were soooooo busy! Well Evan and I are getting back on a smooth schedule and I want to start blogging again. Plus I've missed my bloggy buddies!

So over at Kelly's Korner today she is having a Show Us Your Life: Living Rooms. I just love this idea because I'm soooooo nosy! Ha! This is our living room. (Please excuse the pictures they were taken with my phone.)

We need to get new flooring because the baby decided to break a blue pen and dump the ink on the carpet. We're planning on getting hardwoods after Christmas time. Plus I would love a new couch. A big over sized sectional that the boys will be able to sprawl out on when they're older. Ha! We're also getting a new recliner too, that one is just a temp because Justin needed a chair for his area!!! Oh and a new tv stand. I want one that hides everything!!! So basically we need a new living room. I guess you could say these are the before pictures!!!

I've always love that quote! Ha! Something has been bothering me lately and I just have to get it off my chest. Recently I've been called a "sh*t talker". I just want to get something straight. I am NOT a "sh*t talker". I am a very blunt and opinionated person. I speak my mind and sometimes I know it's not what that person wants to hear, but that's just the way I am. I can't really be considered a "sh*t talker" either because I don't talk behind people's backs. Whatever I say without them in the room I would say the same thing if they were there!!!

Yesterday the boys got bored and decided to make up a game. They put their blankets and pillows in a line and took off running across them.

I guess the object of the game was not to fall off the pillows and blankets.

Of course Evan never won, but he had a blast chasing his brothers back and forth!!! It was so cute how he couldn't stop laughing!

Last week my mom sent me this beautiful card with a sweet message written inside. As I read it I started to cry, it was just that sweet! I needed to hear those words at that moment. My mom also put $100 in the card too with a message that I use the money to buy something nice for myself. Well did I...NO! I bought the boys nerf goggles and bullets for being good Saturday.

I also picked up a few new t-shirts for them for school. The rest of the money was used to buy Justin's car a new battery. Why is it so hard to buy myself something? I feel so guilty buying myself make-up even. I can't even bring myself to spend the whole $7 it takes to get my eyebrows done. I used to never be like this. My favorite thing was to shop. I loved taking pride in what I looked like. Don't get me wrong I still won't leave the house without make-up on, but I'll put on a t-shirt and my old (& only) pair of jeans. I guess it's just the life of being a MOM! Hope y'all are having a happy Tuesday!!!

A Family Saturday!

Saturday morning we woke up early and headed to Justin's uncle doughnut shop. We met up with Tony, Amanda, Eric and Sarah. Of course his aunt Debbie, uncle Ray and cousin Ryan who own the place were there too. Justin's other aunt, Josie was there and called Justin's mamaw and told her to come up there to see all of us! She came with Justin's other uncle Gerry and aunt Anitra. It was like a mini family gathering! It was so nice!

After we ate and visited we headed to an antique shop to look around. I'm going to have to go back. They had so much stuff I want to buy for the house!

After that we headed to Gringos to go eat. We had to wait for awhile for a table and while we were waiting to our surprise Justin's other aunt Nina walks by. She was eating there with her daughter and friends.

As soon as we get done eating we see a fire truck pull up and hear an alarm go off. Then a employee walks up to our table telling us that the fire department wants to evacuate the restaurant and they gave us our meal for free and a card for a free meal on our next visit. We say our goodbyes to Justin's brothers and get in the car to leave. A few minutes later Eric (Justin's brother) calls and tells us they had to turn around and go back because his pregnant wife Sarah started to feel sick. The paramedics at Gringos said there was a carbon monoxide leak and that it had happened last night too and 20 people had to go to the hospital. Poor Sarah had to go to the hospital and had to be monitored and put on oxygen. She finally got to go home yesterday morning. Her and the baby are fine and so are all of us. We just had minor headaches. I still can't believe that the restaurant was even opened!!!

I'm so happy everyone is okay though! Besides the carbon monoxide poisoning we had a great Saturday with the family! Hope y'all had a great weekend and a happy Monday!!!

Sunday we went to our friends Toni and Bubba's little boy's first birthday party. They decided to have Carter's party at Chuck E. Cheese.

I don't know about y'all, but I can't stand that place. It's waaaayyyy to crowded. There's no where really to sit and when you have a party there they want you in and out!!! When I throw a party I like to be able to visit with my guest and enjoy the actual party. The boys of course loved it.

They played games, ate pizza and played some more. Oh and they also got to pick out their prizes with the tickets they won!

Evan loved just walking around and looking at everything. I think his favorite part was the music and Chuck E. singing. He would clap after every song, it was so cute! Jaxon wasn't to fond of Chuck E. I had to explain to him that he wasn't going to come over to where we were and after that he seemed okay!

I guess that place wouldn't be so bad if you went during the day on a school day! Ha! So do y'all like Chuck E. Cheese or places like it? Just wondering if I'm the only one that feels like I do! Hope y'all are having a great Thursday!!!

Well we finally sold our pool table and I sold our pool table light to my dad. I love that light, so I'm happy it's staying in the family. My dad came by Saturday to pick it up and it was so dusty from being in the garage, so Justin with help from Evan and Jaxon cleaned it off! It was so funny!

Fight Night

Friday night was way better than earlier that day. I guess Justin just knew I had to get out of the house, so we went out to go eat at Cabo's (Mexican restaurant). It was just what I needed! Thanks Honey!!! Saturday morning we had our cable changed back to satellite and after that Justin took the boys to his mother's for a short visit. Since we were kid free we went to run some errands. First we went and bought Justin his new iPhone (4 or something)! Then we went to go eat (Mexican food of course, I can eat it 24/7) and then we headed to Wal-mart to get some goodies to make nachos with for that night! After the boys got home, we ordered the boxing match and had some friends over.

We need to get a bigger couch for more seating room!!! Ha! Evan had a blast. Our friends Kelli and Jason brought their little girl Kinley over. She's 9 months old and just the cutest baby ever!!!

We had a great night with great friends and great conversation! I just love nights like those!!! Hope y'all had a great weekend and are having a great Tuesday!!!

Just One of Those Days

I'm having one of those days. You know the kind where you can't say or do anything right. I feel just horrible. Earlier we (me & Jaxon) we're cleaning Jaxon's room and I found myself sitting in the middle of the room with all the mess around me and just broke down and started crying. How did I let his room get like this? What kind of mother am I? I was thinking about my messy house, the boys, myself. What on earth is going on with me? EVERYTHING is a total disaster and I can't seem to fix the mess I've made. UGH!

Bad Baby!

The other day I was doing laundry and the boys were playing. I walked back through the living room and I asked Ethan and Jaxon where Evan was. As soon as he heard me say his name, Evan came running into the living room from the kitchen with two crayons in his hands. I asked him what he was doing and all he said was, " Uh-oh, bad babies." Then he ran back into the kitchen and of course I followed him and this is what I found...

The little stinker decided to color my kitchen floor. Me and Jaxon (who's found a new love for cleaning) scrubbed the floors and got the crayon off. Evan was so mad that we cleaned up his master piece. He started throwing a fit!!!

Some good news...we sold our pool table yesterday. We got more than we asked for and they even broke it down and took it with them last night! Woohoo! To bad the money is already spent (Justin's getting the new iPhone)! Oh well! Hope y'all have a happy Thursday!

Sunday I was making chicken fried chicken for dinner and I had to put an apron on so the oil wouldn't splatter all over my shirt. Since Jaxon decided to be my dinner helper he had to go find himself an apron too. He came back into the kitchen wearing his tool apron.

He looked too cute, so I had to take a picture of him. He had to flex that way he would look tough in his apron! Ha!

Not much going on here lately. Just cleaning, laundry and boys!!! Yesterday after Ethan got home from school the sky opened up and we had ourselves a mini flood (not really, but it felt like it). Since I couldn't kick the boys outside, I let them play in the garage. They decided to make some bottle bots (that's what they called them) with the plastic bottles from the recycle bins.

They were so proud of what they made (I think Ethan made them both). Of course the excitement of the bottle bots didn't even last an hour and then they were back to the usual..."I'm bored!" I guess it was nice while it lasted! Ha!

Miscellany Monday

Well it's Monday again people and I've decided to play along at lowercase letters for Miscellany Monday!!!

1. It's a stormy Monday over here! I just love thunderstorms. Last night it was lightening so bad our lights blinked and my exercise bike started to beep and go off. The weird thing is my bike is battery operated!!! Crazy right!

2. We've finally decided to sell our pool table. We want to turn our garage into a play room for the boys. So if ya want one and can come pick it up I'll give you a real sweet price on it!

3. I hate it, HATE IT, when Justin isn't home. I understand that he has to go to work or we would be out on the streets and starving, but for some weird reason I just don't like it here without him. Funny?! I know, he's only at work for 8 hrs, but it just seems soooooo long!

4. Just two questions...Why are boys so stinky? Why are boys so messy? UGH!!!

5. I've started to take the Woman's One A Day Vitamins Energy and so far I'm loving them. I've noticed I'm not that sluggish anymore! Woohoo!!!

Allergies...UGH!!!

Yesterday was horrible. My allergies were so bad. I felt like I had the flu minus the fever. UGH! I felt fine as long as I was sitting still, but as soon as I got up to do anything my body would ache horribly. Since I really couldn't do anything Evan decided he could run a muck! Ha! I noticed it got really quiet so I went looking for him and this is what I found.

He had put the dog in the swing and turned it on and he was sitting in the tubs watching her. It was so funny!

Today I feel a little better, but still have body aches. Hope this goes away soon. Maybe it's all this humidity and rain we've been getting. Oh well! btw - Please excuse the way my blog is looking. I'm working on figuring out a new background. I really need to save up some extra money and finally have one made for me, but until then free will do!!! Hope y'all have a great Friday!

Summer School

Yesterday was Ethan's first day of summer school and let's just say it was tough! He didn't want to wake up. It took me a little over 20 minutes to get him up to get dressed. He cried and pouted, but I finally got him there. He only goes Monday-Thursday 8-12 for three weeks. Poor Evan was lost without Ethan at home. He kept looking in his room for him and calling his name. It was so sweet, but then I thought what on Earth is he going to do when the school year really starts and Jaxon is gone too.

Evan was so happy when Ethan got home. He wouldn't leave him alone.

Ethan of course was still in a bad mood and mad at me for making him go. Like I had a choice!

Luckily he got out of his funk because I let him go play pool in the garage. Today was much better. He woke up fine and he said he had a good time at school today too. Praise the Lord! Hope y'all are having a great Tuesday and not having to deal with any funky children! Ha!

Miscellany Monday!

Carissa over at lowercase letters is having a Miscellany Monday and I've decided to play along today!

1. I've figured out that if I don't get at least 9 hours of sleep I'm not a happy camper. I'm sluggish, grumpy and I don't want to do ANYTHING! Ugh!

2. The best feeling in the world is when your baby falls asleep in your lap with their little head on your chest. Evan did that last night and it just melted my heart.

3. I'm in love with a new energy drink right now. Cran-energy. It's oceanspray brand and it taste just like regular cranberry juice. I love it because it's natural and doesn't give you the jitters like all those other energy drinks!

4. I hate the summer time. Don't get me wrong I love that the kids are out of school and we get to do some fun activities, but I really do prefer fall and winter! Cool weather, comfort foods, football and holidays...what's not to love?! (We live in SE Texas so no snow for us.)

5. When I was growing up sometimes my mom would call us by the wrong name and I swore that I would never do that...yeah right. I think every mother with more than one child does it! Well yesterday I was asking Jaxon to go do something and I accidentally called him Ethan and he said, " Why don't you give us name tags to wear, so you can get our names right." Ha! I wonder what Michele Duggar does and if she ever gets her kids names right on the first try!!!

Making Friends and Vampires!

Yesterday I had to go get a new tire for my car. So me and Evan headed to Discount Tires. While we were waiting this lady sat down and started talking to me. She proceeded to tell me about her son, his kids, her job, why she moved down here and basically the rest of her life. I used to think this was weird, but for some reason it happens to me all the time. I think I must have a blinking sign above my head that says, " Tell me your life story." I guess it's a good thing I'm a people person and was blessed with the gift of gab!!!

Later that evening after Justin got home and we all ate dinner with the boys, me and Justin had ourselves a little mini date. He took me to finally see Eclipse. I loved it (he even said he liked it too). It was way better than the other two. I can't wait for Breaking Dawn now! Woohoo Team Edward! Ha!

Summer Times!

The boys are going crazy! Last week it rained almost every single day. At least we got to get out for our "stay"cation, but besides that they've been cooped up indoors. Now it's the mosquitoes holding us hostage. We look like we've had an outbreak of the chicken pox! So the boys have been watching a whole lot of TV and movies.

Then they came up with the bright idea to use this little wagon and some plastic boxes to play human bowling.

So far no ones gotten hurt...knock on wood. They even taped out a mini soccer field on the floor in Ethan's bedroom. So far nothing has gotten broken...knocking on some more wood! Hope the city sprays soon for the mosquitoes so I can kick these punks outside! Ha! Hope y'all are having a great Thursday.

Birthday Recap!

As y'all know yesterday was Justin's birthday, so me and the boys decided to do some special things! I got some paint out and the boys all did their hand prints to make him a card.

While the card was drying I made some cupcakes and the boys helped by licking the bowl and spoons!

Then I we decided to decorate the kitchen area. Green is Justin favorite color, can you tell?!

When he got home from work we ate dinner, sang him Happy Birthday and finally got to chow down on those cupcakes!!!

I hope he loved them as much as the boys did! They wanted to eat them for breakfast this morning and of course I let them! Ha! Hope y'all have a great Wednesday!

My Honey's Birthday!

Today is Justin's 31st birthday! I love this guy so much.

Weekend Wrap-up

Saturday we went to Sam Houston Race Track (horse races) to see Kevin Fowler. He's a Texas country singer. We went to celebrate Justin's birthday, which is actually tomorrow.

We went with a group of our friends and had a great time (from what I remember)! Ha!

Sunday we got up and went to the Astro's game with Tony and Amanda.

They bought the tickets for us for Justin's birthday. Even though the Astro's lost (as usual) we had fun! Thanks guys!

After the game Justin went to pick the boys up from his mom's house and Jonathan came back over. We watched our usual Sunday shows (Big Brother, True Blood & Entourage) and just laid around. Hope y'all had a great weekend too and a happy Monday!!!

Bowling Party

Today we went to my cousin's little boy, Collin's birthday party. It was at this cool place that had an arcade and bowling alley. This is the birthday boy!!

Everyone bowled except Jaxon. He was acting sooooo shy! Even Evan was giving it a try.

Evan was way better at eating cake and making friends!

After bowling the boys played some games and won some cheap-o prizes!!!

All in all we had fun, except for what happened when we were heading up there. We stopped at Wal-mart to get Collin a gift and when we went to leave the car wouldn't start. Luckily some really nice people helped us out and gave us a jump. I guess they felt really sorry for me trying to pop the hood to the car while yelling at four screaming boys in the car! Ha! We were only a couple of minutes late for the party!!! Hope y'all have a great Friday and weekend!

"Stay"cation Day 2

Today we decided that the rain wasn't going to hold us hostage, so we decided to head to the Space Center of Houston.

Okay...even though it was raining cats and dogs it was crazy crowded. We tried to do some things, but like I said it was packed (thanks for the warning Marissa, I should have listened)!

We tried to watch one of the shows, but I had to make a quick exit because Evan was throwing one of his best fits ever.

I think his blood sugar was low...so we got him some Cheetos and he was himself again!

Then we had the bright idea to take the tram ride while the rain had stopped. As soon as the tram took off it started raining like a hurricane had just hit. We were soaking wet. Evan of course loved it!

The best part was we got to ride the whole tram ride with a baby with a stinky diaper, and you guessed it...it was Evan! The funniest thing was after we left we went to go eat Mexican food at Luna's. While we were eating we went around the table and everyone said what their favorite part of today was. Jonathan said playing in the jungle gym thing, Ethan said seeing a Storm trooper from Star Wars and when we got to Jaxon he said, "Going to the bathroom. I really had to go!" Ha! That child cracks me up! Hope y'all are having a great Thursday!!!

A Pause in the "Stay"cation

Well we had to postpone our stay-cation for today. It's been nonstop raining all day. We decided not to go to Space Center of Houston today and we might try to head up there tomorrow. The weatherman is calling for rain tomorrow too, but I'm hoping that it's not as much as today!!! Don't get me wrong I will take rain over melting heat we normally have any day! Ha!

So we today we've been getting caught up on this...

And I'm planning on getting caught up on my magazine reading too...

Jonathan might be coming over tonight, so that way he can go with us. Yay!!! Hope y'all are having a great Wednesday!

"Stay"cation! Day 1

We decided this year to have a "stay"cation! Justin always takes off the week after the 4th and we always plan things to do with the boys. So this year we are doing things in Houston. We bought these awesome things called City Passes (they're available in most major cities) and for less than half the normal price you can go to six attractions that they offer. We chose the Natural Museum of Science, Museum of Health, the Children's Museum, the Downtown Aquarium, the Houston Zoo and the Space Center.

And finally the Downtown Aquarium where we also ate dinner...

We got a free appetizer with our City Pass, so we had the calamari. It was the first time for Jaxon to ever eat it! He loved it! Oh and he tried fried oysters too and loved them too!!!

We all had a blast and the boys loved every minute of it!!!

Tomorrow we are planning on going to the Space Center Houston and maybe the zoo on Thursday (hopefully we don't get all the rain we're supposed too). Hope y'all had a great Tuesday!!!

4th of July!

Yesterday we went to our friends Danny and Crystal's house to eat some yummy BBQ and pop some fireworks. Before we left I made some homemade salsa and when my back was turned Evan decided to help himself and this is what happened...

Sorry the picture stinks. I took it with my phone! After we cleaned him and the kitchen up we headed over to their house. Justin's brother Tony bought a boat load of fireworks!!!

The guys BBQed and waited ~~impatiently~~ patiently for the sun to go down!!!

Evan decided to help himself to what was in the cooler.

Finally when it was dark enough they started...

I would like to say that how wonderful they all were, but unfortunately Jaxon hates fireworks so I was in the house most of the time with him. I did get to sneak out for the grand finale!

I had to steal Amanda's pics from yesterday. For some reason I can't get mine to upload. Sorry, hope she doesn't mind!!!

Fun Times Today

I've been so busy lately I haven't been on here in forever it seems! I've (with the help of Jonathan) painted and remodeled Jaxon and Ethan's bedrooms while they were visiting their Mimi in Alabama. They had a blast. Then last week I watched my nephew Tyler while my sister went to church camp.

Today was very interesting...first this morning Jaxon came running into the living holding his throat and screaming. I finally got him calmed down and he told me to call 911 because he swallowed a dime! I told him don't worry it will come out the same way everything else does. That freaked him out too! Ha! I asked him how the dime got in his mouth in the first place and he told me it just fell in there, like magic. Yeah right!!!

Then at lunch today Evan decided he wanted to be a red head (I'm guessing) because he decided to put all his ketchup in his hair. Then he tried to clean it out himself by dumping Jaxon's entire cup of apple juice on his head! That was a fun clean up!

Then finally this afternoon Jaxon mysteriously found a piece of gum in his hair. He had no clue how it got there or where it came from! So I cut it out! Hello spiky cow lick!

Today has been one of those days I just have to laugh! Sorry there are no pictures. Justin's computer isn't working and he's not happy!!! Hope y'all are having just as much fun as I am today and this summer so far!!!

This Weekend!

Saturday night was so much fun. Jonathan's game started almost 2 hours late so we stayed for half of it and then headed to Justin's uncle's birthday party. We had a blast! Of course I was happy...there were margaritas there and everyone was taking tons of tequila shots! I think he got like 5 bottles of it for his birthday including one from us!!! After the party we picked up Jonathan and headed home.

Sunday we just spent watching movies and hanging out. It was a very lazy day. Early that evening me and the boys headed to Wal-mart to pick up supplies for my projects I have planned while the other two boys are away. I'm planning on remodeling their bedrooms.

Monday we started on Evan's room. We did some touch up painting and finally hung up some decorations in his room. We also paint Jaxon's dresser and a bookshelf. I was planning on starting the paint job in the boys room, but Justin informed me the new iPhone 4 comes out next week and he's buying one. So there goes my remodeling plans and funds. UGH! Hopefully I can make some extra money to cover the rest of the price for the phone and have enough left over to do something to the rooms.

Well drama started again this morning. Grrrrrrrrr. I just want it to stop! It just ruined my day and is making me miserable. Why can't someone get a clue?! Anywayz! Hope y'all had a great weekend and are having a great Tuesday!!!
