Saturday Night @ The Hop

Saturday we didn't just celebrate the boys birthday it was also Justin's parents 34th Anniversary! So after the party my mom stayed with the boys while we went to The Hop, a local night club, to celebrate.

It was so entertaining. The age group of patrons at the Hop are 45 and up! It was so funny to watch these older drunk people get down!!! My cheeks hurt so bad the next day from laughing so hard.

Chachi (Justin's mother) even said she thinks she did something to her knee that night. Sunday morning she woke up and it was all swollen!


Everybody had a great time! Yesterday morning Justin's cousin Melissa and her two kiddos came over for a visit and to play with the boys. They had so much fun playing together. I just wish I felt a little better. At first I thought I had caught Justin's cold, but I'm just achy. So I'm thinking it might just be allergies. My whole body feels like it's bruised and hurts when I move or am touched. Oh well I hope it goes away soon. Hope y'all have a Happy Tuesday!!!

Birthday Party!!!

Saturday we had Ethan (9) & Jaxon's (5) birthday party! They decided to go with a dinosaur theme. Luckily I was able to fine a few decorations at the dollar store and used the boy's dino toys.


These were the Thank You bags I made and filled with all kinds of goodies!

This is the food table and some of the decorations. I even got dinosaur nuggets! Ha! When I do a theme I do a theme!!!

This is the cake table! Half chocolate and half white cake! Yum!

The boys had a ton of presents and it was total chaos opening them all up! Luckily nothing was lost in action!


The boys had a blast and so did we. Thanks to everyone who came & helped us celebrate. The only thing that could have made it better was if Jonathan was here, but I totally understand that it was his first game of the season. Hope y'all had a great weekend too & Happy Monday!!!

In 10 Years?, Award, & Party Prep

My new bloggy friend Katy over at Backwoods Boy and a Fairytale Princess just tagged me to do this "Where will you be in 10 years?" post. I thought it would be fun so here we go...

In ten years...
1. Justin & I will be 40! (Holy crap, I thought this was going to be fun!)
2. Jonathan will either be graduating college or playing "pro" in a sport. (He plays baseball, football, & basketball and is awesome at them all!) Hopefully I will not be a grandmother yet. I have a rule that I have to be over 40 before I have grand kids. All my boys know this!
3. Ethan will be graduating High School! (fingers crossed, j/j)
4. Jaxon will be a teenager! (God help me with this one!)
5. Watching Evan play football! This little guy is made for football. He's solid!!!
6. I hope to be skinny and finally free of this baby weight! (I think 10 years is enough time to do it!)
7. Doing something I love and making $$$ for it!
8. Have all our debt payed off and building wealth! I want to be able to call the Dave Ramsey show and yell, " We're Debt Free!!!"
9. Finally have had my wedding of my dreams, white dress and all!
10. Be happy and healthy! (no just me, but Justin & the boys) This is the most important of them all!!!

Well I'm off to go get the rest of our party supplies and to find a store to make a dinosaur cake! Hope Evan gets in a better mood. He's being a Mr. Cranky Pants this morning! Plus I need to figure out if Jonathan will be able to make his brother's party. He has opening day for baseball and his game is at 5:30. So far it's not looking good, but I'm trying to keep positive about it! Hope y'all have a happy Friday and a great weekend!!!

So Much To Do

I have so much to do, but I really don't want to do it! Ha! Saturday we're having Ethan and Jaxon's birthday party. I've decided that tomorrow I'll go order the cake and pick up the rest of the food and decorations. They want a dinosaur party. Luckily we have a box full of dinosaurs, so I'm using some of those to put on the cake and to decorate with. Today I figure I would clean the house. I really need to do some deep cleaning, but today I'm just picking things up to make it pleasing to the eye. Every time I pick up a room I really see how bad I've let everything get... I was a little out of it when I had Evan so I kind of didn't really keep things clean like I used to, but now I'm okay (I think). It's time to get to the cleaning!!! (Can you tell I'm trying to pump myself up!)

Rockets Game

Last night we went to the Rockets game with Justin's brother Tony and his girlfriend Amanda! She won the tickets, so free game night! Yay! First we met up at a wine bar near the Toyota center where our friend Jason works.

Then we headed off to the game...


I met these mega Rockets fan in the bathroom. They're call the Red Rowdies!

They had an amazing half-time show. It was kind of like a mini circus.


Then I took a picture of this guy sitting in front of us. Check out his nails! Okay I have no problem with guys having their nails painted like the rocker/punk guys, but this guy had a shiny clear coat over his. They just looked so weird!


The Rockets Won! We had a great night. Hope y'all have a happy Tuesday!

Weekend Wrap-up

Saturday morning we went to Ethan's basketball game. Then we got home and I made a late breakfast and then that afternoon we headed to Justin's cousin Melissa's little boys first birthday! His name is Warren. It was so funny, he wanted no part in eating his cake!

Justin's Uncle Ray taught Evan how to eat cake with a fork too. I think he gave Evan two pieces. Ha!
After the party we took the boys over to Justin's parents house. Then we went out to eat. Dinner was going great until these people came in with a little boy. He looked like he was around 2. All of a sudden a loud noisy music started playing. They had propped a portable DVD player in front of the kid. Okay I get it...they want to entertain him so he'll behave, but can you get the kid some earphones! Is that too much to ask? Heck I would have rather the kid was kicking and screaming on the floor, than having to listen to that annoying show he was watching. It was so rude and the adults just went on with their business like the kid and this DVD player weren't even there. Luckily we were finished with our food, so I sucked down the last drops of my margarita and got the heck out of there before a headache set in!

We met some friends at a local bar & grill and then we headed to RJ's sports bar where our friends mom host karaoke night there. We had a blast! It was so funny listening to drunk people sing!

Sunday we just hung out around the house and the boys played outside all day! Last night after they got done with their baths I noticed their little cheeks were sun burnt. It was so nice to see their little faces kissed by the sun. Springs a comin'!!! Hope y'all have a happy Monday!
