Make a Wish

The other night for dinner I made a whole baked chicken. The boys love it when I cook this only because of the wishbone.


I  let them break it and make a wish. I used to do this when I was little with my sister.


Jaxon was so excited that he pulled and got the bigger piece. We had to remind him not to tell his wish or it won't come true!


While I was taking pictures of the boys Evan was throwing a fit. He was screaming CHEESE!!! Every time he sees a camera he yells cheese until someone takes his picture. It's too funny!

His face is dirty from eating cookies. Normally I keep my boys pretty clean. Ha!
 
I just thought of something...since making the wishbone thing a tradition I'm going to have to start cooking more than one chicken. Since there's more than two boys we're going to have to have more than one wishbone. Sweet baby Jesus what did I get myself into! Ha!     i loved the wishbones when i was a kiddo! the cheeser cracks me up... he's so cute!

    I got one out of a rotisserie chicken at Kristi's. I went up to her and said "Here!" She took one end and we pulled. She got the big half. I said hope your wish comes true! She was like "Oh, I forgot to wish!" BAH! Wasted wishes!

    What a great tradition. I used to do that growing up. I'm not sure why I've never had my girls do it. Next time!

    This is the cutest post! Jaxon is cheesin so big! What a cutie! Love It! I remember pulling the wishbone when I was little loved it! What a great tradition! Oh boy now you are gonna have to make like 3 chickens or by the Rotissere ones already made hahahaha

    I never did the wishbone thing but it looks TOO fun! I might have to start that tradition...but I don't know how to cook a darn, whole chicken:) HA!!!

    We get the whole chicken at Sam's Club all the time and my husband and I always do the wishbone....he ALWAYS wins!! No fair!!
