We decided this year to have a "stay"cation! Justin always takes off the week after the 4th and we always plan things to do with the boys. So this year we are doing things in Houston. We bought these awesome things called City Passes (they're available in most major cities) and for less than half the normal price you can go to six attractions that they offer. We chose the Natural Museum of Science, Museum of Health, the Children's Museum, the Downtown Aquarium, the Houston Zoo and the Space Center.
Warning: A whole lot of pictures!!!
Today we went to the Natural Museum of Science...
Then the Museum of Health...
Then the Children's Museum...
And finally the Downtown Aquarium where we also ate dinner...
We got a free appetizer with our City Pass, so we had the calamari. It was the first time for Jaxon to ever eat it! He loved it! Oh and he tried fried oysters too and loved them too!!!
We all had a blast and the boys loved every minute of it!!!
Tomorrow we are planning on going to the Space Center Houston and maybe the zoo on Thursday (hopefully we don't get all the rain we're supposed too). Hope y'all had a great Tuesday!!!
Wow! You guys visited several places in one day! I'm exhausted just thinking about it and by the looks of it the boys were tired too! I love the pics. Looks like it was a fulfilled day. Enjoy the Space Center and zoo! Stay cations are great!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! I love the pictures. Especially the one of the two sleeping at the end. What a great idea, a "stay"cation. I may have to look into that.
ReplyDeleteSo this is only day one?? Can't wait to see more. :)
Have a good night!
Great pictures! We had a staycation last summer, and it was so much fun! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the perfect vacation!!
ReplyDeleteMy boys would have loved that too!
Holy cow - that's a BUSY day!! I bet the boys loved every minute. And I bet they slept good last night too :)
ReplyDeleteCute pictures. Have fun on the rest of your "Stay"cation!!
how fun...BUSY, BUSY day! We haven't been to the downtown aquarium since our oldest was 1 yr old. What was your fav. museum? We liked the children's museum, but nothing for our 1 yr old to do right now...guess we'll wait a little while longer! Here's to more "stay" cation days for you and your family :)
ReplyDeleteOk, Jaxon is my new hero for eating (and liking) calamari and oysters! We now have something we can bond over...if he lets me!
