Boys Playing Games

Yesterday was a pretty laid back Monday! We just mostly hung out and played.  Nobody was cranky or bad. I now truly believe in miracles! Ha! When Ethan got home from school the boys decided to play Call of Duty, but they didn't play the video game...They reenacted it outside! It was too cute.

They armed themselves with nerf guns and bag backs full of army stuff. Evan wanted to play so bad. Instead of giving him a gun they gave him a fan pen and some chocolate to keep him happy! He was still just as deadly.

They had a blast. I felt so bad having to call them in for dinner. Evan put up a small fight before we could get him off the swing set!!!

Ethan had to go to bed early for the TAKS testing going on today. He's not worried because it's only the math part. This morning when he was getting out of the car I told him good luck and to pay attention. He said, " It's just math. Don't worry I got this!" It was so cute! Hope y'all are having a great Tuesday!

Weekend Wrap-up!

Friday I spent the day doing pretty much nothing, but then after Ethan got out of school we went to pick up Jonathan for the weekend. It was so sweet when he got in the car he showed us a book he made about Evan. He dedicated it to me and wrote such a sweet note! After we got home I made dinner. After we ate we watched Avatar. The older two boys had already seen it so they stayed in their room playing video games. So Justin (he's seen it already too) Jaxon and me (the only ones who hadn't seen it yet) settled in to watch the movie. 45 mins into the movie I look over and poor Jaxon was out like a light. Then towards the end of the movie I started getting sick. Lets just say I spent the rest of the night with my head in the toilet.  No I'm not preggers. Why is it that every time I'm sick or tired everyone assumes that I'm pregnant? Maybe it has something to do with having 4 kiddos! Ha!

Saturday we just hung out and we really didn't do much of anything. Justin went to a wake for one of our friends dad who passed away from a heart attack at the age of 51. It was so sad. I stayed home because I still wasn't feeling to well.

Sunday we spent the morning watching "Where the Wild things are". I think Ethan was the only one that watched the whole thing through. I didn't really like it. Then I had to take Jonathan back home because he had a baseball game later that day. I'm always sad after having to take him home, so what do I do? I cook!!! I made fried pickles, chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and corn on the cob. Then I made some banana pudding.

After making it I find out that only me and Evan like it. Oh well more for us then!!! So we had a great Southern cookin' Sunday and I felt so much better. That's our weekend. I hope y'all had a great weekend too. Hope y'all have a happy Monday as well!!!

Sleepy

I'm finding it so hard today to keep my eyes open. I just want to sleep. Maybe I'll nap when Evan takes his. Yesterday was so much better compared to Tuesday (Thanks for all the sweet comments!), but then again I didn't have the boys. They were at grandma's house. Ha! I did miss them. Really I did!

While I was kidless I was able to get the garage clean and straighten. That was a huge chore and I killed my back and legs in the process. They're still aching! After I was done with that I moved on to my closet and my side of the dresser. I built a huge pile for my garage sale I hope to have soon. Hopefully later today (after I've slept and have some energy) I'll start on Evan's room. There's a lot of baby stuff to get rid of. I'm a little scared to do this because awhile back I had a dream I sold all the baby stuff and then found out I was preggers! YIKES! Knock on wood I'm not!!! Still a scary thought though!

Well I'm off to tire Evan out so mommy can nap! Hope y'all are having a great Thursday!

Days like these...

Days like these are a good form of birth control. Days like these are the reason that I am considering taking "crazy pills"! Days like these I have to remind myself to take a deep breath and count to ten. Days like these I find myself praying to God for strength. What my day has consisted of?

First thing this morning Evan decided to throw everything out of the kitchen cabinets and onto the floor. He stepped on my new baking pan & put a big dent in it. He also decide to break the lid part off of my printer. Then he decided to TP the bathroom.

After picking up I decided to be brave and head to the grocery store. The only thing that went well there was that Evan slept the entire time.

When we got home we ate lunch and then Jaxon and Evan went in the backyard to play. Evan game walking into the house looking like this...

Little did I know he had dumped the dogs water on his head, then he decided to rub some dirt in it.  Oh, yes that is a board (have no clue where it came from). He decided to drag it through the entire house with me chasing him. When I finally took the board back outside I came back in to find him throwing clothes out of his dresser drawers. The worst part was that he emptied the dirty clothes hamper & now all the clothes are mixed up! Dirty with the clean!

Now he is playing tug-a-war with the dog and a USB cord that goes to Ethan's mp3 player. Thank you Baby Jesus that it's only a few more hours until bedtime. Oh I almost forgot...besides sleeping 45mins in the grocery store Evan hasn't taken a real nap. I'm bracing myself for mister cranky pants!!! Hope y'all have a great Tuesday (better than mine)!

Weekend Wrap-up!

Friday night me and Justin went to the Galveston County Cook-off. Jamie (Justin's sister) stayed the night at our house with her kids and watched ours. Justin's parents cooking team, The Hardcore Cookers won 2nd place in Brisket. This was them preparing the brisket.

We met up with a bunch of our friends and had a great time. (Can you tell how humid it was from how big my hair is!?)

A lot of eating, a lot dancing and a lot little of drinking! Good times!

My friend Cassie broke her foot and was unable to dance, so this was me playing air guitar w/ her broken foot. Ha

Saturday we spent the day recovering and eating some of these...

Sunday morning I got up and went to Jonathan's baseball game and then game home and spent the rest of the day lounging around and watching movies. We had a great weekend. I'm off to go clean (since I did none this weekend) and I'm trying to talk myself into going grocery shopping. Hope y'all have a great Monday!!!

Galveston County Fair & Rodeo

Last night we took the boys to the Galveston County Fair & Rodeo. My MIL was cooking fajitas for the cook-off last night too. We thought they tasted good, but she didn't make the first cut.

We took the boys to the carnival part to ride rides and play some games.

Besides Ethan's constant complaining about how everything wasn't fair and that he wanted to play more games (which were crazy expensive), we had a great time!

We even checked out some of the livestock they had. Evan loved that and kept calling all the animals, "Puppies"! It was too cute.

Then we went to go eat at a Mexican restaurant with Justin's brother Tony and his girlfriend Amanda.

Tonight I'm happy to say we found another sitter for the boys (Justin's sister, Jamie), so now we can go to the cook-off. Yay!!!  Well I'm off to get some cleaning done. Hope y'all have a great Friday!!!

I Need a Do Over

You know those days that you just wish you could just start all over and have it go differently...well I'm having one of those today. First of all I woke up in a crabby mood. I think it's my birth control. It makes me a mad woman. I go to my OBGYN in two weeks and I plan on talking to her about it. The mood swings are driving me crazy!!! Then the boys were getting on my last nerve. Fighting with me and each other about everything. UGH! Then about 10 this morning I get a text from my sister saying she's sick and about to go to the doctor. The really sucky thing is she was supposed to watch the boys tomorrow night while me & Justin go to the cook-off...well not anymore. The doctor told her she has strep and a viral infection. So there went my sitter! We've been looking forward to this for a couple of months now. We still plan on taking the boys tonight to the fair & rodeo, so hopefully this day gets better. Maybe it will rain tomorrow & I won't feel as bad for not getting to go! Ha! I'm just joking, I really don't want it to ran for everyone else. I'm not that selfish mean. At least Justin has tomorrow off and maybe we I can get some things done around the house!!! Hope y'all are having a way better Thursday than me!!!
