Make a Wish

The other night for dinner I made a whole baked chicken. The boys love it when I cook this only because of the wishbone.

I  let them break it and make a wish. I used to do this when I was little with my sister.

Jaxon was so excited that he pulled and got the bigger piece. We had to remind him not to tell his wish or it won't come true!

While I was taking pictures of the boys Evan was throwing a fit. He was screaming CHEESE!!! Every time he sees a camera he yells cheese until someone takes his picture. It's too funny!

His face is dirty from eating cookies. Normally I keep my boys pretty clean. Ha!

I just thought of something...since making the wishbone thing a tradition I'm going to have to start cooking more than one chicken. Since there's more than two boys we're going to have to have more than one wishbone. Sweet baby Jesus what did I get myself into! Ha! Hope y'all are having a great Thursday and may your wishes come true!!!

MIA

Sorry I've been missing in action it seems lately! I've been running around trying to round things up for my garage sale we're having on May 22. I have to have it at Justin's brother's house because our HOA won't allow us to have them. Thanks Amanda & Tony! I've started to fill up our exercise room with everything. It looks like a war zone! The only thing I'm scared about is that I had a dream a month ago that I sold all the baby stuff in a garage sale and then found out I was pregnant. I put all the baby stuff in the pile and knocked really hard on a large piece of wood! Ha! During the process of collecting junk I've also been trying to change out the boys clothes in their closets. I'm big on hand me downs. I guess it is a good thing I have all boys! Getting the boys & Justin to put things into the garage sale is so hard. I live in a house full of pack rats! I'm also debating on getting rid of our pool table. I still can't make up my mind on that one. Well I hope y'all are having a great Wednesday. I'm off to round up some more junk!

Weekend Wrap-up & Mother's Day

Friday I picked up Jonathan and we just had a low key night at home. The boys played video games and we watched TV. Am I the only one excited about Friday Night Lights being back on? Love that show!

Saturday we just hung out around the house. Justin went and helped his brother Tony with some stuff over at his house; so, I got caught back up on the Real Housewives of New York (boring) and New Jersey (one of my favs)! I felt bad because I had to keep the boys indoors all day because of Ethan's sun burn still! I'm so happy that he's better now. That evening we had some friends over to watch the UFC fights and eat tacos!

Sunday was great! We all slept in until 10, even the baby. Needless to say we didn't make it to church which is what I was planning. There's always next Sunday. I'm trying to find a church to start attending. The boys gave me their Mother's Day cards they made me and Justin gave me this...

Isn't it the cutest little wallet/clutch?! Late afternoon we headed over to Justin's parents house to eat some steaks. The boys had fun riding their bikes and then some drama unfolded and we headed home!

Let's just say next year I want to spend my Mother's Day just us! Don't worry I didn't let anything ruin my day! I got to spend it with all my boys and I love all 5 of them with all that I am! I hope y'all had a wonderful Mother's Day and that y'all have a happy Monday!

Show Us Your Life: Baby Names

Today over at Kelly's Korner she's having Show Us Your Life: Baby Names. Well as many of y'all know I have four boys. There names are pretty common.

Jonathan Lance

We got his name from Jonathan Taylor Thomas from Home Improvement (the TV show). His middle name is the same as his dad's and grandfather's.

Ethan Michael

We stole his name from my sister! Ha! We were told the whole pregnancy that Ethan was a girl and it wasn't until a 3rd ultra sound I had at 8 months that he was a boy. My sister just so happened to be pregnant at the same time and I asked her what names they had picked out. She said Ethan for a boy and Abby for a girl. I was due 4 months earlier so we took her name. Luckily she had a girl, so no hard feelings! Ha! His middle name is the same as his dad's. All the men in Justin's family (brothers, dad, grandfather) all have the middle name Michael.

Jaxon Michael

We were going through names one day in the car and I threw it out there and Justin actually liked it. We decided to go with this spelling because his last name is Creole/French so it fit. Of course we went with Michael. Yeah, yeah I know, Michael Jackson. Trust me I thought really hard about this and I figured by the time he was old enough kids his age really wouldn't know that much about Michael Jackson (now that he's passed the chances are really slim).

Evan Michael

We got his name from Jenny McCarthy's son's name. She was on Oprah talking about her son having autism and I heard the name Evan and instantly called Justin. He liked it, so we went with it. The middle name is the same! I knew it's weird that they all have it, but I couldn't break the tradition!!!

I have a few names I like right now for little boys. They are Easton and Jacoby. I know, I have a thing with names that start with "J" and "E"! Girls names I have no clue. I've never had to think about it. I love old, unusual names (like my own). And yes if we had a girl her middle name would be Michael. I wouldn't want to leave her out! Ha! Plus I think it's cute when girls have boy names. I don't have to worry about names any more because Justin said we're done with having babies. I guess he decided to go get clipped! Ha! There's still a chance, so never say never!!! (knocking on wood right now though) So if y'all want to play along head over to Kelly's Korner and link up! Hope y'all have a great weekend and a Happy Mother's Day to all the momma's out there!!!

Ouch!

Ethan is still at home today from school. It's now been four days!

We really tried to get a shirt on him today, but had no luck. It was just too painful.

The blisters finally absorbed or popped yesterday. You can see all the new skin on his shoulder and his arm. Gross!

The poor baby has been in so much pain and I hate it because there's nothing I can do. We have our fingers crossed that he will be able to go to school tomorrow.

Also yesterday Justin's brother, Tony's girlfriend, Amanda (ha, that kind of sounds like that quote from Ferris Buller's Day Off) gave me a blog award. Thanks girl!!!

Y'all should go check out her blog, Tall Glass of Water. You'll probably recognize her from a couple of my pics on here. Right now her and Tony are in the middle of some much needed renovation of Tony's house (which she blogs about). Hope y'all stop by and show her some love and I hope y'all have a great Thursday!!!

What not to say!

Saturday before we went to the wedding I was loading the car with all the gifts. I noticed my neighbor outside weeding her yard so I said hi. She looked up and said, " Oh Hattie I didn't know you were pregnant again!"

I kept walking to the car and said, " Thanks, but I'm not pregnant. I'm just fat I guess."

At this point I thought she would be embarrassed and say sorry. Right?

Then she said, " I guess since you have to take care of all those boys you don't have time to take care of yourself."

I didn't say anything and I just kept walking to the house to grab the rest of our things. Here I was all dressed up for the wedding and looking somewhat presentable, I thought. I guess I shouldn't wear dresses because she is not the first person to make the pregnant comment to me while I was wearing a dress. My self esteem was shot, so this totally ruined my night. It was a long hard climb out of that hole that my lovely neighbor buried me in.

Oh well. I'm at home today with all the boys again. Poor Ethan got more blisters from his sun burn and still can't wear a shirt. Hopefully he'll be able to wear one tomorrow. He can't miss this much school! Hope y'all have a great Tuesday and don't forget to wear sunscreen!!!

I've Been Busy!

Gosh I haven't been on here since last Tuesday! No wonder I lost two followers. Ha! Let's see where to start. Wednesday was my day off (from the boys) and I spent it cleaning and running some errands. Basically I did the same thing Thursday. Friday Justin was off of work and we had some more running around to do. We had to go find him something to wear to a rehearsal dinner we were going to that night.

That evening we dropped the boys off and headed to the rehearsal. Justin and his brother Tony were both in their friend Mac's wedding this weekend.

After the dinner we went out and met some more of our friends and had a blast!!!

Saturday we spent getting ready for the wedding. All the groomsmen met up at our house and got dressed. The wedding was, ummmmmm, I guess I'll be nice and say boring interesting! Ha! I think we had more fun the night before!!! Justin looked handsome in his tux though!!! So that was a plus.

Sunday we headed out to Sam's Boat (restaurant & bar) to meet up with friends for some crawfish and beer.

It was so yummy! I wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to go pick up the munchkins from Justin's parents. They  had fun at grandma's house swimming all weekend. The down side was they all came home looking like lobsters. Ethan was so burnt I had to keep him home from school because it's too painful for him to put a shirt on! Poor baby. Well I hope y'all had a great weekend and have a happy Monday!!!
