Homemade Mocha Frap!!!

Confession time...I have never set foot into a Starbucks. Weird! Right?! Well I have tried McDonalds Fraps and really didn't care for them, but I like the idea of it. I do love Sonic's Java Chillers, but HELLO CALORIES!!! So I searched the web for a recipe, found a few and then made it my own...

Homemade Mocha Frap

1 cup chilled strong brew coffee
(I used half coffee and half espresso, that I found at Krogers for $2.50 a can)
1 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 large squeeze of chocolate syrup (or whatever flavor you like)

add all these together in the blender and mix for about 1 minute. This dissolves the sugar and makes it fluffy!!!

Then add about two cups of ice (crushed works better) and blend or you could just pour it over ice cubes, if that's your thing!!!

I also add these little shots of caffinee that I found at Wal-mart (like the espresso isn't enough). They're called Stok and they're sold in the coffee aisle. They're like 24 for $2.50!!! This momma needs all the energy she can get!

This recipe makes two large servings!!! It's soooooo yummy!!!

Hope y'all have a great Thursday!!!

  1. never been to starbucks??! Oh no! Ha, just kiddin' but I am addicted to their, Tall Non-Fat Latte's...just can't help myself! This sounds good, but I'm not into the cold coffee's, but I'll pass to my aunt, she LOVES 'em!

  2. That sounds so good! And way less expensive than the coffee shops. I totally want to try this.

  3. Oh man. I have to have one of these now. I was craving a chocolate one earlier but this sounds so much better!

  4. Wow....that sounds amazing. I will be trying this for sure!!!
