Monday Flop

Yesterday we headed out to go get my car fixed so I could get the inspection sticker. I headed to Autozone to see if they could help me figure out what was wrong. Luckily I was help by this really kind mechanic and come to find out nothing was wrong with my car. Jiffy Lube had unplugged something and didn't plug it back in, so it was causing my check engine light to come on. I finally was able to get my sticker. Yay I'm driving legal!!!

That evening I decided I was going to make The Pioneer Woman's Cajun Meatloaf. You can see what it's supposed to look like here. Mine turned out mushy in the middle. I guess I didn't add enough bread crumbs or something. It was my first attempt to make any kind of meatloaf. I ended up having to make chicken for dinner. This is what mine looked like after I hacked into it!

I made some mashed potatoes and peas to go with the chicken! Evan loved the peas so much!

We were all cracking up because we thought it looked like a booger in his nose. I needed a good laugh after my "first time cooking meatloaf failure"!

I also received two awards yesterday!!! Made my Monday better thanks ladies!

"This award means you're really going places, Baby. You'll still be blogging about your great adventures 10 years from now, and I'll still be reading them. "
I received this one from Short Southern Momma! Go check her out. Her blog is so cute!

I received this one from Backwoods Boy and a Fairytale Princess! I just started following her blog and I like what I see! Go check her out too!!!

I have to go and get ready because my sister is coming over today with my niece and nephew! We're going to the Mardi Gras parade in Galveston tonight! The kiddos are so excited! Happy Fat Tuesday y'all!!!

  1. Oh no! Too funny you posted this today, I'm going to make meatloaf tomorrow night for dinner, now I'm terrified, ha ha!

  2. meatloaf is tricky, I'm a vegetarian so I never taste it when I cook it.... haha... so my poor husband is left to lie to me and tell me it tastes great.

  3. Cute son!

I'm following you from Friday Follow!

  4. Girly,
Do not feel bad about the Meatloaf you are not alone....When I first started making meatloaf I just thought for the top of it you just put ketchup on it and put it in the oven....um no ya don't LOL....you have to make a sauce....Sooo I always wondered why my Hubby we were only married a year than didn't like meatloaf....Poor guy ate it everytime I made it....Until we went to this restraunt and he gulped down the meatloaf and I said hun I thought you didn't like meatloaf, he lauged and said Summer I like meatloaf I just don't like Ketchup Loaf....LOL....see not alone at all....
