My Day Off

Last week I went to the doctor. I talked to him about what's been going on with me. I really haven't been feeling like myself. I'm tired and I feel like I can't ever get anything done or finished. So he suggested that I either get on some meds which I really didn't want to do or put the boys in a mother's day out program. He thought that I have an huge feeling of being overwhelmed and that I need some kind of breather or my physical & mental health are in trouble. So I asked my MIL if she could watch the boys one day out of the week because right now we just can't afford to pay for a mother's day out program. Thank the Lord she agreed!

So today Evan and Jaxon are at grandma's and I'm about to started cleaning my floors (something I can't do with them here)! I need to get this house back in order, especially before the summer begins!

I also want to thank Natalie over at The Pampered Mom for this award she gave me yesterday.

You should go check out her blog. She's a mom of two adorable boys and does amazing DIY projects for her bedroom remodel!!! Thanks girl! Hope y'all get a breather too today & have a happy Wednesday!!!

Anywho....I think your an amazing mommy! We all need a breather every once in awhile it's good for us! So enjoy my friend, turn up some music and slide across your mopped floors like Tom Cruise in Risky Business LOL....

  2. Although I don't have children, I know exactly how you feel! You need to take time for yourself, do things you enjoy and just take it day by day. We can all get overwhelmed by life, just know that you're not alone and that we're here for you.

  3. I know this feeling all too well. Overwhelmed is a good description! Glad your MIL stepped up to help you out!! And let's hope that you can actually do some things for YOURSELF instead of cleaning each time they go to grandma's :)

  10. Its amazing what a day can do. I hope you feel better!

Your comment made me laugh. So funny, how little boys can run into walls. I wonder if this reflects Colt's personality. He may be accidently prone, haha :)

  13. I think that's a great idea! You'll have to let us know how it works out for you. I don't ever get a minute away from my house, and last weekend my sis and I went shopping for the day. It was great! :)
